Due to a recent burst pipe water has gone through the ceilings to the ladies toilets on the 2nd floor & 1st floor. A request to rectify damage as soon as possible

  1. Basement requires dehumidifiers in place to remove dampness within this area, pending on where this can be emptied (drain) this may need an operative to empty each day.
  2. The ceiling has come down on both toilets; part of the ceilings is still up but very wet & will require removing.
  3. The water has got behind the wallpaper & has started to come away from the walls in many places, this will have to be remove so the walls can dry out correctly once a dehumidifier is put in place.
  4. 1st floor lighting pelmet has been damaged & requires replacing.
  5. The ply has split & started to separate.
  6. One cubicle dividing wall has also been damaged, ply has warped & split a section which will need replacing.
  7. Strip off wallpaper in both toilets & install a dehumidifier for 1 week to dry out walls.
  8. Remove rest of plasterboard ceiling in both toilets & dispose of.
  9. Smoke head & lights will need to be isolated & removed (by others) as the new plasterboard ceiling can be replaced.
  10. New ceiling will be taped & jointed.
  11. All walls once dried out will be prepared & ready to receive 2 coats of Dulux diamond matt emulsion (colour TBC) & 1 mist coat followed by 2 coats of vinyl matt emulsion to ceilings (white).
  12. Apply 1 undercoat & 1 top coat to all woodwork.
  13. Remove all waste on completion of works & leave clean & tidy.
  14. Normal working hours.
