Manningtree High School – WC Refurbishment

We had a request to completely renovate the toilets at the school during the summer break so that the staff and pupils had a fresh clean WC for the new term. A challenge accepted by CSF and completed well within the timescales given.

• The existing toilet on the 1st floor to be altered to make an open plan unisex toilet & an accessible toilet.
• Isolate all water supplies.
• Strip out all existing toilets, urinals, sinks, ceiling grid/tiles & all tiled walls to be removed & disposed of.
• Nib walls to entrance of main toilet & disabled toilet to be removed to make an open plan toilet & accessible.
• All pipework & wastes to be removed & adapted to form new toilet layout.
• Uplift existing flooring & dispose of.
• All walls to be prepared ready for new decorations.
• Apply 2 coats of Dulux diamond eggshell (white) to walls.
• Existing ceiling tiles & metal grid to be removed & dispose of.
• Supply & install new ceiling grid to be fitted to take plasterboard ceiling tiles which are wipeable.
• Prepare sub floor ready for new flooring.
• Supply & install new Polysafe vinyl with cap & cove finish (colour TBC).
• Existing ceiling lighting to be removed & dispose of.
• Supply & install new 600×600 LED lights to be fitted into new ceiling grid.
• Smoke alarms to be re-used & additional supplied, fitted where necessary.
• Supply & install additional hand dryer next to existing.
• Supply & install 6 full height cubicles & 1 cubicle door which will give access to the accessible toilet. The 6 will be part of the main open plan toilets (colour of cubicles TBC).
• Supply & install new wash hand trough with access panels below.
• Supply & install new soap dispensers to wall above trough.
• All existing toilets, urinals, sinks & pipework to be replaced & adapted to take new toilet layout.
• New soil waste to be fitted along cubicle wall & fitted to existing soil stack.
• New toilet & wall mounted cisterns to be fitted in each cubicle.
• Full Doc M pack to be fitted into accessible toilet along with safety mirrors.
• Please note – any unknown works not known at time of survey will be reported to client if successful with a variation cost if required.
• Works carried out in Summer break.
