Due to a recent burst pipe water has gone through the ceilings to the ladies toilets on the 2nd floor & 1st floor. A request to rectify damage as soon as possible
- Basement requires dehumidifiers in place to remove dampness within this area, pending on where this can be emptied (drain) this may need an operative to empty each day.
- The ceiling has come down on both toilets; part of the ceilings is still up but very wet & will require removing.
- The water has got behind the wallpaper & has started to come away from the walls in many places, this will have to be remove so the walls can dry out correctly once a dehumidifier is put in place.
- 1st floor lighting pelmet has been damaged & requires replacing.
- The ply has split & started to separate.
- One cubicle dividing wall has also been damaged, ply has warped & split a section which will need replacing.
- Strip off wallpaper in both toilets & install a dehumidifier for 1 week to dry out walls.
- Remove rest of plasterboard ceiling in both toilets & dispose of.
- Smoke head & lights will need to be isolated & removed (by others) as the new plasterboard ceiling can be replaced.
- New ceiling will be taped & jointed.
- All walls once dried out will be prepared & ready to receive 2 coats of Dulux diamond matt emulsion (colour TBC) & 1 mist coat followed by 2 coats of vinyl matt emulsion to ceilings (white).
- Apply 1 undercoat & 1 top coat to all woodwork.
- Remove all waste on completion of works & leave clean & tidy.
- Normal working hours.
